Case Studies
What we've built.
A selection of the technology and AI systems we have designed, built and run, both inside our own chartered practice and for clients. Each one is live and doing real work day to day.
Harris AI, our operating assistant.
An internal chief-of-staff system running on a dedicated VPS and integrated with every director in the practice over WhatsApp, Slack and the web. Persistent memory, calendar co-ordination, task routing, document summary, meeting ingestion and daily briefings.
The problem
Directors were losing measurable hours each week to calendar co-ordination, meeting write-ups, context-switching across Xero, Drive and Slack, and keeping each other informed. Senior-partner overhead of a kind every professional-services firm recognises.
What we implemented
Harris works across WhatsApp, Slack and the web, with a memory of the whole practice behind it. It summarises meeting transcripts overnight, drafts each director's morning briefing, surfaces correspondence that needs action, keeps the team across changing RICS standards, and holds the firm's knowledge in step with live operations.
The outcome
Double-digit hours reclaimed per director per week, and a material reduction in the cognitive overhead of running a multi-office chartered firm. Harris is now the reference pattern we tailor and implement for Evolve clients.
Hillway Inspect, inspections without the evening admin.
A mobile-first inspection tool for surveyors. Capture photos, conditions and notes on site, and walk away with a clean, branded report already written.
The problem
Site inspections throw off a pile of photos, scribbled notes and voice memos that then cost an evening to write up. The write-up is where detail slips and time disappears.
What we implemented
Hillway Inspect runs the whole inspection from a phone. Capture photos, log conditions against a structured checklist and dictate notes on site, and it assembles a clean, branded report ready to send before you are back in the car.
The outcome
Inspections that used to spill into the evening are finished on site. It is a pattern we tailor for any client running field visits, from condition surveys to audits and compliance checks.
RealiQ, commercial property intelligence in one place.
A property intelligence platform that pulls the public and private data on UK commercial property into one place, ownership, valuations, transactions, energy, planning and flood risk, and lets anyone interrogate it in plain English. Designed and built end to end by Hillway.
The problem
An institutional investor wanted one clear view of the UK commercial market. The data exists, ownership, rateable values, transactions, energy ratings, planning and flood risk, but it lives in a dozen separate places. They wanted it unified and interrogable in plain English by any analyst on the team.
What we implemented
We designed and built RealiQ end to end. It brings the major UK property data sources together and lets the team ask questions in plain English, write investment memos, summarise assets and flag market movements, all from one place.
Status
In production at realiq.uk. The client has moved from a one-off build to an ongoing retainer as the platform grows, a live example of how our engagement models step up as the value shows.
Property software implementation.
A UK-wide surveying firm moving two decades of data off a legacy system onto a modern property-management platform. A full software implementation covering data mapping, migration and chart-of-accounts redesign, delivered under chartered supervision.
The problem
Over two decades of property-management data trapped inside a legacy system. Specialist implementation partners typically quote six-figure fees for a migration of this size. The client wanted the same outcome with materially less overhead and a faster go-live, under chartered oversight.
What we implemented
A bespoke data-mapping process: legacy data out, reconciled and clean into the new platform. We redesigned the chart of accounts from first principles and built a fee-rule template aligned to the new billing structure. AI handled the reconciliation reporting as the migration ran, flagging data gaps the client could fix in real time.
The outcome
A clean go-live and an ongoing consultancy retainer. The client now treats Hillway as an extension of its own technology function, the precise outcome an Embed engagement is designed to produce.
Hillway Training Platform, CPD-ready courseware.
Three courses (AI Digital Transformation, AI Coding and RICS AI Compliance) delivered through an audio player that highlights each line as it is read, with a companion iOS app.
The problem
Every chartered firm now needs an AI-literacy programme for staff CPD. Generic AI courses miss the RICS compliance angle entirely, and no existing product met the standard.
What we implemented
A full training platform with an audio player that highlights each line as it is read, secure checkout and a companion iOS app. Course content is written with chartered input and AI-assisted drafting against current RICS standards, and revised whenever those standards change.
